Nestalgia is an evolving Nintendo Entertainment System emulator optimized for Windows 8, Windows RT and Windows Phone. To play your favorite old school game, additional game cartridge files (ROM) are required, which can be with .nes or .zip file extensions.
Here are some feature highlights:
+ Support loading a game cartridge from OneDrive or Local storages including SD cards.
+ Support game roms in .nes file type or .zip file type.
+ Pin to start to monitor progress of current playing game in the live tile.
+ Support light gun games, like Duck Hunt. Just tap on the screen to simulate a light gun.
+ Support 2 aspect ratios, origin or 4:3
+ Built in 2 color filters, black and white or sepia.
+ Built in a configurable smooth filter.
+ Three different configurable action button styles
+ Three configurable touch pad sizes
+ Automatically save playing game and resuming a playing game among different play sessions unless a game is turned off.
+ Use Pinch-in gesture on game screen to do a quick save. Quick save state is meant to be used as check points. it is invalid when the game cartridge is changed.
+ Use Pinch-out gesture on game screen to d a quick load.
+ Support store save states into files and retrieve them back.
+ Support use "BACK" as menu button to save more screen for playing game on smaller screens, and instead double tap "BACK" will work as go BACK.
This is the very first release ever on Windows Phone.
